Cacao Smoothie
This is a perfect quick, simple, healthy and delicious smoothie recipe.
Rich in vitamins, minerals and in omega-3 fatty acids which provide you with a super boost of energy for your day.
It hits the spot when you need a chocolate fix!
Serves 2
Takes 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 400ml milk (dairy or plant based)
- ¼ avocado
- ½ banana
- 1tbs pumpkin seeds
- 1tbs almond butter
- 1tsp black tahini
- 1tsp vanilla paste
- 1- 2 tsp cacao powder
- 1 piece grated dark chocolate
Method
Blitz the milk, avocado, banana, pumpkin seeds, almond butter, black tahini vanilla paste, cacao powder and tsp of the grated dark chocolate in a blender.
Pour the smoothie into 2 350ml tumbler glasses.
To Serve
Simply Bitz and it’s ready to drink.
Tips
Ideal breakfast option. Great for fussy kids in the morning, or as a treat. Perhaps swap the dark chocolate for the milk choice.
I hate to waste.
Wrap the other ½ of banana in parchment paper to store in the freezer to use another time.
As avocados do turn in colour quickly I freeze any left-over. Slice the avocado into thin pieces and wrap in parchment paper. Easy to use for the next time you make a smoothie.

Ideally use organic food produce where possible.
Visit your local food suppliers or farmers market for fresh produce.
Consider the animal welfare when selecting fresh meat,poultry, eggs and dairy.
Select foods that are ethically sourced.
Ideally know the provenance.
Consider eating more sustainable foods.
