Muscles In White Wine & Garlic
Delicious muscles full of flavour.
It is a simple, healthy recipe rich in protein, zinc, vitamins A and B12, all of which support healthy muscle development, skin, eyes and immune system.
Serves 2
Takes 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 600g prepared fresh muscles
- 250ml white wine
- 3 cloves crushed garlic
- ½ white onion diced
- lug of olive oil
- 25g butter
- bunch fresh parsley chopped
- 50ml cream
- pinch sea salt & black pepper
Method
Heat the oil and butter in a pan (with a lid) on the hob.
Add the onion, crushed garlic, sea salt and black pepper into the pan, stir and gently cook until soft.
Add the white wine to the pan, stir, and cook it out for a few minutes.
Add the muscles to the pan, place the lid on and steam until the muscles open.
Stir in the cream.
Remove the pan from the hob and serve.
To Serve
Serve with a sprinkle of chopped parsley. Ideal served with a piece of rustic bread to mop up the delicious broth.
