Blueberry & Black Tahini Smoothie

This is a perfect quick, simple, healthy and delicious smoothie recipe.

Rich in vitamins, minerals and in omega-3 fatty acids which provide a super boost of energy for your day.

Serves 2
Takes 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 400ml milk (dairy or plant based)
  • 60g frozen blueberries
  • ½ banana
  • 1tbs oats (optional use gluten free)
  • 1tbs mixed seeds
  • 1tsp black tahini
  • 1tsp vanilla paste
  • 1tsp honey (optional to sweeten)
  • 1tbs acai berry powder

Method

Blitz the milk, blueberries, banana, oats, mixed seeds, black tahini, vanilla paste, honey and acai berry powder in a blender.

Pour the smoothie into 2 350ml tumbler glasses.

 

To Serve

Simply Bitz and it’s ready to drink.

 

Tips

From my experience frozen berries appear to hold more flavour than fresh ones. It’s easy and convenient to buy frozen fruit. Give it and go and see what you think.

Great breakfast option. Especially for fussy kids in the morning.

Wrap the other ½ of banana in parchment paper to store in the freezer to use another time.

Food Produce

Ideally use organic food produce where possible.

Visit your local food suppliers or farmers market for fresh produce.

Consider the animal welfare when selecting fresh meat,poultry, eggs and dairy.

Select foods that are ethically sourced.

Ideally know the provenance.

Consider eating more sustainable foods.
